David Lewis is President of LBMC Business Process Solutions, LLC.

He is a management executive with a proven track record of developing and implementing financial operation improvements within various businesses.

David has worked in the corporate headquarters for large, multi-location companies as well as on-site in numerous hospitals across the country.  His experience includes work in a wide range of settings in various industries:

Experience

David has experience working in several health care disciplines (hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, physician practice management, home health, renal dialysis).

  • Provided interim financial leadership to guide multi-facility, med-surg hospital system through ownership change.
  • Compiled hospital market utilization analysis for primary and secondary service areas.
  • Calculated hindsight analysis for oncology specialty and feasibility analysis for gastroenterology specialty.
  • Designed process improvements and developed methodology to reconcile and properly account for monthly revenue cycle activity in a concise, consistent and efficient manner.
  • Prepared detail statistical and narrative analysis for improved integration of primary care clinics within health system.
  • Developed tracking model to continually monitor $20 million annual capital expenditure budget.
  • Communicated regularly with department directors and managers to analyze and understand monthly trended fluctuations.
  • Prepared detail analysis to record purchase accounting transactions that resulted from the merger of two health systems.
  • Developed detail fixed asset accounting records based on merger re-valuation and electronically established transactions in subsidiary information system.
  • Streamlined financial reporting process to complete monthly financial statements more efficiently.
  • Trained nonfinancial managers to prepare and analyze monthly financial reports.
  • Provided detail assistance for implementation of general ledger information systems conversion.

He also coached a boy’s middle school varsity basketball team to a small-school division championship.  David likes to exercise and follows various college and professional sports.
